Hakkoda Ski Area is based around Tamoyachidake Summit, where the Ropeway Sancho Park Station is located. The ski area features two long courses with a total length of up to 5 km, offering enjoyment for intermediate and advanced skiers alike.
In addition to skiing among the magnificent snow monsters (frost-covered trees), skiers can enjoy breathtaking views of Tsugaru and Shimokita Peninsulas, and even Hokkaido on clear days.
The ski season typically runs from early December to early May, providing a long period for skiing.
※ While Hakkoda is renowned for its exceptional powder snow, visitors are strongly advised to avoid reckless behavior to prevent accidents or getting lost.

SKI & SNOWBOARD COURSES
These courses allow skiers to enjoy Hakkoda’s premium snow while weaving through snow monsters (frost-covered trees) and beech forests. Routes are guided with poles, nets, and signage, and patrols regularly monitor the area.
